The ancient Chinese art of Tai-Chi has long been practised for its general therapeutic value. But a new study suggests it can have specific benefits for people with type 2
diabetes. Contact:

Add your commentThis is great news to hear. I always wanted to learn this. Now, I have more reasons to.
This is fabulous. Thank you so much for sharing. I used to do "gentle yoga" before I was diagnosed w/ diabetes. I bet it would help if I could find some one who teaches it now. I really enjoyed it.

I use to be involved in Tai Chi but the was no place here. We now have a wellness center that is offering it and I am going to start again. It was relaxing and helpful
This is a type of exercise that with practice, builds your ability… you can actually modify some exercises to a sitting position. When I was recovering from my accident, I actally visulalized some of the exercises and felt refreshed, doing what movement I could within my limatations… My energy and strength grew… I also enjo doing Gigong movements, very similar to Tai Chi… Yoga is also good… Mix and match what appeals to you… There is a SIT AND BE FIT exercise program on CD also… execellent and many of those movements seem to be a mix of these disciplines. the important thing is to start where you are and build strength…
5 years ago I was very active in Tai-Chi and loved it so much. Now with my neuropathy and osteoarthritis I cannot move my legs very much except to walk short distances. I would love to do a more simple and relaxed version of Tai-Chi. Does anyone know where I could find a video of something like this?
I am really interested in this type of exercise. If anyone in Philadelphia knows a good place to go please let me know. Thank You.
I have been hering about this, i wondered and now have a idea. I like it actually cuz it seems relaxing. Thanks!
