I think its a good thing that people in the public
eye are willing to share their stories. They can
bring more awareness of diabetes. They could
also inspire some to take better care of themselves.

I love Patti LabBlle and her music but facts are that Diabetie does not distinguish between "normal" or "celebrity" status. It recognizes our bodies and immune systems! Positive reinforcement is always helpful to me and others sharing their struggles also helps me to deal with the facts! Ms. LaBelle is definitely on the right tract! God bless her and everyone she does influence…

I had no idea she was a diabetic. She seems to be handling it okay, by staying positive. I guess it really comes down to our mind set and how we choose to deal with this disease.

Although patti is very inspirational, I dont think it is fair for the common man to hear her, or any other celebrity talk aobut any disease. they have the money and the influence to get what is needed when they need it. I do give her credit for her taking control of the disease and it not taking her.

Both Patti and Randy are wonderful for sharing wi9th us normal people. I love Patti and will try her mac and cheese. Although mine is very close. She uses three more cheeses than I do. My husband is a mac and cheese man. He will eat the whole pan if you don't watch him. Today is a good as any to try hers since I already have mac and cheese on todays menu with a roast pork. Wonderful video.

It is very inspiring to have someone of Patti LaBelle's stature and talent, to speak out about the difficulties that she had with diabetes, and how she has been able to control diabetes instead of allowing diabetes control her. This is a video that all diabetics should view.

Even though she is Patti, she still seems 'human' while dealing with her diabetes. I think more people need to see and hear that, so they can apply the practicality of it to their lives.
