Good advice. One of the first things I was told
years ago, when I found out I was type2. Eat only whole wheat products. At that time I either baked
my own ,or went to a natural foods store. Now
you can get pasta and brown rice at any supermarket.

This is good for those who are not diabetic, but you have to watch the sugars that get added to the "whole" grain breads and cereals. It is sometimes a bad trade off. Just remember to read your lables every time.
Just like "sugar free" or "lite" or " fat free"…you can't trust the front of the package, read your fine print.

Well, hmmm, I guess this is one way to get the family on board, slowly. But I have to question using so much sugar and white food in the diet. But, like I said, it probbally is a good way to slowly start the family off.
