i have been taking hydrodiurinal over 50 years, and no doctor in all those years told me to take that drug at least 2 hours after any other drugs i am taking. my sugars where always high and i didn't know why. i happened to access Mediguard and listed my meds on that program. i received a notice from them telling me that hydrodiurinal was interfering with my other drugs. i moved that drug to my lunch hour away from all the others and in about one week later my sugars were almost normal. i have had diabetes since 1979.

I recently started taking lasix and sprionolactone for chf. The day after I started them, my blood sugar went totally out of control (i take lantus and humalog). I told my doctor this, and he said I must have altered my diet and to reduce what I am eating, because he did not believe that this was a side effect. I had NO change in diet, stick to 1500 calories a day. I have had to almost double both insulins, and I am wondering if there is a max. recommended dose. I am up to 140u of Lantus twice a day, and wondering if anyone takes this much. ty
