Drums of strips were EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE for what you got.
The lancets for the lancet pen were an odd shape not like standard lancets. To use the meter you would have to use the specially shaped lancet because other lancets would not fit that pen and a regular lancet pen didn't fit in the meter case that came with the meter. I didn't price the special lancets, but suspect they too were expensive.

It has a laxitive effect for me if I use a lot of it. So I avoid it if I can and only use it if I must. |
