Hummus

Ingredients

  • 1 15oz Can Chic Peas (Garbanzo Beans)

  • 3-5 Cloves Garlic (Chopped)

  • 2 T Olive Oil

  • 2 T Lemon Juice

  • 1 t Cinnamon

Directions

  1. Rinse and drain chic peas.

  2. Place all ingredients into blender or food processor and blend. Scrape sides and continue to blend until you have a paste consistancy. If you like a little less firm hummus, add lemon juice or oil until you have the desired consistancy.

  3. Thicker hummus is easier to use in wraps and as a filler for celery sticks. Thinner is good on pita bread or in a salad. Try it both ways and decide for yourself.

  4. Add fresh herbs to your hummus for a varity of flavors. If you make it a day ahead of time, you will have a wonderful aromatic blend.

Thanks lady,
I do not have to do without anymore, at one time I would buy from store ready made. I am a firm believer in natural. Now I can make my own. Thanks
