this is a great idea! watch the tuna tho. recent analysis of cans of tuna right off the store shelves in chicago showed 33% had high levels of mercury. so eat it only once per week, unless the tuna cans you get are tested and the tuna is low mercury.

mercury testing is mandatory in california, i understand.

it's sad we poisoned all our waterways with emissions from coal fired electric plants.

smaller fish such as herrings and shrimp don't have the mercury problem. you can check this out at www.fda.gov. they used to post the avg. mercury content for various fishes.

Add diced onions to the Tuna and even some pickle relish and it's really great!

I love these too and use whenever I need a quick meal. I use Sara Lee's Sugar Free bread which has 9 carbs a slice… have used it for ages and love it.

Most chain grocery stores carry at least one kind of "lite" bread, with half the calories of regular breads. Also, Pepperidge Farms makes thin sliced bread, which does the same thing.

From what I could find out, it was a reduced calorie, reduced carb bread that was available at Costco. But it appears that it's not available there anymore.

You can certainly use your favorite whole wheat, high-fiber bread instead.

I check the carb count in Hollywood bread and it is actually 16 grams of carbs for two slices.
