Add your commentI am anxious to try this recipe,, i have what is called "overgrowth of bacteria in my small bowel" ,, i have found that eating the "Specific Carbohydrate Diet" helps this condition greatly. So i look for recipes like this one ..
if anyone else suffers from this condition and has any advice i greatly appreciate any advice..
This sounds good and my husband loves pizza. but what is even better then that is i am glueten,so this will serve 2 purposes. thanks barb1951 for that information
For almond flour, check iin the health section of grocery store, natural/whole foods coop, or Bob's Red Mill website. This flour is also gluten free so can be used by people allergic to gluten.
If you want to save some money, just take about 10 almonds and your spice grinder (coffee grinder) and pulse for short pulses. Stir the bottom from time to time so you don't make it too hot and the oils make nut butter. You can get a finer grind than in the blender. Easy. You can do the same with your flaxseeds so you can add them to add omega 3's to your diet. very important. Enjoy!
mema05 and anyone else that was asking about where to buy almond flour. Walmart has it. It is sold in the aisle with the regular flour, but is on a top shelf at my Walmart. It is a little pricey but it looks like for this recipe you don't need to use a lot.
where can i get almond flour?
This sounds really good and quick - I think I'll try it this week-end. I'm thinking almond flour could be found at a Whole Foods or a store like that. Check it out on the Internet.
The Ingles grocery store in our area carries a low carb tortilla that has only 5 digestible carbs. I use the tomato basil ones to make pizza. They are 6-8 inches in diameter.
This recipe sounds good but will the ingredient measurements work?
What is the difference between regular flour and the almond flour? Is there that much difference with carbs?
Sounds good to me I am going to try it. Will scope out a couple of stores for the flour. 1 Tbsp of flour does not seem all that much but I will make it according to your directions and keep you posted
You can find almond flour at health food stores or you can grind your own using real almonds. Its a bit nuttier and so much better than flour anyway.
Seems like you would need more flour than that but I will look for almond flour at my local store. Thanks
This sounds great, I will have to try it. Also, there are the low carb wraps (usually in the section by the eggs and cheese). They are great for making pizza. I think the wraps have more carbs than your recipe. I think about 6gr carbs.
I love almond milk and our grocery store carries that but where do you find almond flour? I have never seen that one among the flour choices at our grocery store.
Thanks for this recipe. I love pizza. Will make this today. Thanks, again.
love pizza but only way i can cook anything is using microwave or crockpot..got any pizza like recipes for that?
This comes out as a fried baked scrambled egg…doesn't quite cut it as a pizza crust replacement for me. : (
Pizza is my ultimate favorite food…thank you!!
Almost guilt free recipe for pizza lovers
