Honey-Baked Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 6 cups coarsely chopped Savoy or other cabbage (1 pound)

  • 1 large garlic clove, thinly sliced

  • 2 cups coarsely chopped onion

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground pepper

  • 3 tablespoons cider vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon honey

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine the cabbage, garlic,onions,oil salt and pepper in a 2-quart baking dish and toss to mix. Cover and bake until tender, about 30 minutes, stirring after 20 minutes, Drizzle the vinegar and honey over mixture and toss to coat.

I made this today and have to tell you, it is yum… highly recommend to anyone who likes cabage… thanks for the treat… I'm not a great fan of cabbage unless it is in coleslaw… but this is an exception in my book… will make it again and again…

I think that you posted this recipe because you knew how much that I would like it! Anytime I can try cabbage a new way I am very interested. I love the fact that this is a one dish recipe that can be baked.
