1 medium head green cabbage, shredded
1 red bell peppers, diced
1 yellow bell pepper diced
salt to taste
1 cup vinegar
1 1/2 cups sugar substitute
2 tablespoons celery seed
1.Toss the cabbage and bell pepper together in a large bowl. Season the mixture liberally with salt; stir. Allow to sit 45 minutes; drain and return to the bowl.
2.Bring the vinegar and sugar substitute to a boil together in a saucepan. Immediately remove from heat and stir into the cabbage mixture. Add the celery seed; mix thoroughly. Chill completely before serving.

August 7, 2009 3:21 AM Cabbage is one of my favorite veggies and I really like it when peppers are added. That makes the best kind of slaw. Instead of the vinegar from a bottle, I save my dill pickle juice and use it for a seasoned vinegar. It sure adds a little different taste. I am going to really like fixing this. |
