FINE IF YOU WANT TO TRY IT, BUT THEN TAKE YOUR B/S, YOU WILL SEE A # SO HIGH YOU'LL BE TRYING FOR DAYS TO BRING IT DOWN. TRUST ME, YOU'LL SEE THAT I'M RIGHT!!!! WHOEVER POSTED THIS RECIPE SHOULD HAVE THEIR HEAD EXAM!! THIS RECIPE IS DEFINITELY NOT FOR ME!!

Debe~~ Don't you realize that this here smoothie is a diabetic's nightmare? 1st you have the milk, (8oz) which has 12 grams of sugar, the 8oz of O.J. has 28 grams of sugar bananas by themselves, have 27 grams of sugar, each! (81grams of sugar for 3). And just because the applesauce is "unsweetened" it still has sugar in it,as well as the "unsweetened" blueberries. It's all sugar in my book!

This one almost looks like one I make myself. Eccept a little different.
I use 2 Bannanas , 1 raw egg, 1 cup orange juice , 2 to 3 cups regular milk, a little bit of cinnamon & vanilla. Put in a blender. and Walla!!!
You have yourself a Tasty Liquado.

Bananas alone would put me in dire straights for the whole day let alone orange juice with it. Sounds great but not for me as I am a diabetic.

Really??? Orange juice & bananas? With 27 grams or Carbs? My blood sugar would skyrocket & I would be fighting it all day! Sounds like a great recipe… if your not diabetic.

Diabetics and bananas are arch enemies. One doctor said if a diabetic eats a banana, he could not inject enough insulin fast enough to counteract the rise in blood sugar. AND look at the carbs. For a diabetic this looks like the hemlock Socrates drank. Remember…if you are a diabetic, fruit is not your friend. Small amounts of apple, pear, strawberry are ok because they have lots of fiber, but banana, orange and most citrus, mango are just off limits. Its the carbs, not the fat that boost the glucose.

Who does not love a smoothie! And this one is both easy and sounds so yummy! I love the idea of the applesauce. I have not tried that in a Smoothie. Great recipe!
