Sweet and Spicy Barbecue Chicken

Ingredients

  • 15 oz no-salt tomato sauce

  • 2 medium garlic cloves , finely minced

  • 1 tsp olive oil

  • 1 medium onions , finely chopped

  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tsp chili powder

  • 2 tbsp cider vinegar

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts

  • 1 cooking spray

  • 1/2 tsp salt

Directions

  1. Combine the tomato sauce, garlic, oil, onion, salt, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, and vinegar in a small saucepan. Heat and stir for 5 minutes.

  2. Remove 1/2 cup of the sauce and keep the remainder at a warm temperature. Lightly coat the grill with the cooking spray and preheat for 5 minutes.

  3. Add the chicken and spoon the 1/2 cup sauce evenly over the breasts.

  4. Grill for 5-7 minutes. Serve the warmed sauce with the grilled chicken.

  6. Be careful not to boil the sauce.
