I really like the idea that you can mix this and keep on hand for when wanted. It will also be on the ready if you travel. Prepackaged and ready to use. Thanks.I love the raisens. I look for any excuse to use natural sweets. I just use a smaller portion. But I will also try the raisens for a change of pace.

I'm not especially fond of raisins, so when a recipe calls for them I usually substitute Crasins…dried cranberries. The food values of craisins per serving size are almost the same, but the serving size for craisins is 1/3 c while for raisins it is 1/4 c. So overall craisins come out SLIGHTLY lower in carbs and sugars. Craisins add a slightly tart taste…less sugary than raisins. Yum, they are really tasty :-D

Do you know of a substitution for raisins that will no affect the nutrition information?

sounds great for a winter breakfast. This sounds like a great back pack meal. I'd be tempted to add crasins, I'm not too fond of regular raisins…too sweet. Craisins add the punch of cranberry flavor. I'll be making this up when the temp drops from 95 to 50s in October.
