Rice with meat

• 2 cups rice.

• 1/2 kg meat cubes

• 1 tablespoon margarine or ghee.

• 1 onion.

• 2 cardamoms.

• 2 bay leaves.

• 2 cups milk.

• Salt and pepper.

• In a deep pan, put water and bring to boil.

• Wash meat well then add to pan with onion, cardamoms, bay leaves.

• Leave until meat is done.

• Add salt and pepper then take meat out of broth.

• Strain and reserve meat broth.

• Wash rice and drain.

• Arrange meat cubes in the bottom of a baking dish.

• Add rice over meat then pour broth over rice, then pour milk.

• Heat oven and cover dish, put in oven and leave for half an hour until rice absorbs most of the broth and milk.

• Remove cover and open broiller, broil rice until surface becomes golden brown.

• Serve while hot in same dish.
