I am a GRITS (girls raised in the south) and I love fried dill pickles. I make them all the time. Fried green tomatoes are wonderful also!

I had several employees from the South who introduced me to a lot of Southern Cooking (fried green tomatoes) but never fried pickles. Whar part of the South are they from?

Fried pickles are very popular "down south". They sell fried pickle chips at our local summer Farm Show every year. I love them! They are a differnet kind of lower calorie snack and now that I can make them "oven fried" I will eat them more often.
