Whipped Topping

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup ice water

  • 1/4 cup instant nonfat dry milk powder

  • Sugar substitute to equal 1/3 c. sugar

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Directions

  1. Place ice water in a small bowl; gradually add milk powder, beating at high speed of an electric mixer until stiff peaks form.

  2. Gently fold in sugar substitute and lemon juice. Cover and chill.

  3. Use as a substitute for whipped cream.

  4. Yield: 2 1/2 cups

You all are most welcome. As for it coming up nice and whipped I haven't had a chance to make it yet. LOL I haven't made any pies to use it with. If I get the chance to make it I will let everyone know whether I like it or not.

This sounds better than Cool Whip — less chemicals. But does it really come out nice & whipped up? The consistency is really important, if you ask me :)

This is one recipe I do want to try in place of whipped cream.
