Angel Food Pineapple Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 Box Angel Food Cake Mix

  • 1 Can Crushed Pineapple 20oz w/juice

Directions

  1. Mix Together With Whisk

  2. Spray with Pam A 9 by 13 inch Pan

  3. Bake 350 degrees 35 minutes

  4. Top with sugar free fat free cool whip

Substitute the water from the box mix with the pineapple juices. You do not need to add anything else to this recipe. If you mix the pineapple in the mix, there's no need to invert unless you decide to do so. It's not an upside down pinapple cake, unless you want to add sliced pineapple to it, placing them down in the pan first, so when you invert, the slices are on top. Enjoy !

I want to try this, but have a couple questions… Because it is an angel food cake, do you invert it when it is done baking? and I am guessing you substitute the juice as the liquid for the cake mix…Please advise. Thanks so much, it truly sounds good and my mother loves angel food cake

This sounds great. I am a "Fruit" person and with angel food cake being a good diabetic dessert, this would be a good recipe to keep handy.
