Ingredients
12 chicken legs — and/or thighs
1 jar marinara sauce — no sugar added
1/4 cup onion flakes
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp red pepper
Directions
Clean chicken and discard the skin and any visible fat. Put the pieces into the slow cooker. Add the sauce, onion, salt, garlic, and red pepper and stir to mix. Cover and cook on low for 7-9 hours.

Add your commentMake it on a "non-work" day by starting early in the morning using a Dutch Oven (I don't have a slow-cooker, either.) Use crushed garlic gloves for garlic powder(no garlic powder here, either but always garlic cloves aplenty). Spray pot with no-stick spray-cook onion slices with crushed garlic only til wilted-not browned or carmelized. Add other ingredients. Bring to boil-turn down to lower heat and simmer until dinner time. Serve over whole wheat spaghetti noodles with a tossed green salad and you are set! Should serve 4 to 6 people!
