Hot Grits

Ingredients

  • 4 cups (960 ml) water

  • 1 cup (148 g) quick grits

  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) salt (optional)

  • 1 tablespoon (11 g) reduced-fat soft margarine

Directions

  1. Place water in a medium pot and bring to a rapid boil over high heat. Gradually add grits and salt, whisking constantly. Reduce heat and slow boil until grits are done, about 5 minutes.

  2. Remove from heat and dot top of grits with margarine. Stir again before serving hot.

You are absolutely correct…that is for 4 servings…I must have either forgot to click the correct amount or it jumped on me…sorry. And good eye for catching that…thanks.

Southern ice cream, but your servings size cannot be one!!!More like 4 big servings, I add one slice of precessed cheese just before I serve and it really makes it creamy, but then I am from Georgia.
