I too use the Lantus Solostar with the 4mm x 32G needles it sure does make it easier to use I could probably do it in the dark you can hear the clicks as you dail it in if you listen carefully.
I too use this self contained pen, just add the needle! It's s blessing to me evenwhen I was working. I lift my shirt, add the dialed in dose where I was eating lunch without anyone bothering me or I them. This is Life, people must except that we too need to live our liives. Can't understand why the Federal Govt has to do with your health and the need to apply insulin to yourself!
I tried this medication a few years ago and it just didn't work well for me at the time and then there was the fact that with it being an insulin medication it interferes with my job of choice on a federal rules level. I chose to discontinue using the Lantus and switched to Byetta which I have had some very good results with.
I use lantus solostar too. Its really worked well for me. It keeps my sugar where it should be then I use another insulin to cover food. My lantus has really helped me achieve my blood sugar goals. Its been a God send for me and my treatment plan!. I love the convience. Its been a real positive expirence.
Hi Every one I am new here and have been doing some lurking yes i admit it have found some very useful info Does any one use the levenmir pen?? was on Lantus for over a year and my sugars kept climbing FINALLY convinced the Doc got do something else so he then put me on Humlin another big joke the side effects about drove me crazy for 2 weeks so Now I have been on the levenmir for a month and it is working so far so good But my other question is I keep lowering my morning does because it is totally bottoming out my sugar now the night dose does not do that any suggestions Thanks Linda
I love the Solostar pen ! I have trouble seeing the lines on hypodermic needles. The numbers on the Solostar pen are easy to read and if I can't see the numbers, I can count the clicks to set my dose. The hardest thing about the Solostar is remembering to wipe the end of the pen before you screw the needle on.
Very convenient, I used hypos for a short time after I was diagnosed and as I was getting new supplies mentioned to Walgreen Pharmacist that I did not care for hypos. He suggested the Solostar, I checked with my Dr. and he approved. I am retired Military so use TriCare, they approved.
i love this it is so much better than the vials they were such a pain to take when you went out i broke so many it was such a waste now i dont worry about it ever and the pen needles are great they are so muchbetter than the syringes

Have been using this for about 6 weeks very happy with the results. My only complaint first batch of pens would lock up when half used.
