Non fat milk Community Rating

Category: Diet

As soon as I was diagnosed with diabetes, I made some radical changes in my diet. I immediately went from 2% milk to non fat. It only tasted weird to me for about a week because I knew it was best for me. I continue to use this milk and although I have not lost much weight I am losing inches. I highly recommend non fat milk.

I have honestly tried but there is no taste to it. I do not use a lot of milk because of IBS. I'll cut fat from my diet somewhere else. 2% is as low as I go.

Pros:

Not a one I can think of.

I am lactose intollerant. I drink lactaid milk 100% lactose free and fat free. My whole family drinks either 1% or fat free milk.

Pros:

The lactaid milk does not upset my stomach. The 1% or fat free milk does not make my sister sick either.

Cons:

The only con would be that for the milk sugar or lactose they take out, they replace it with regular sugar.

I'm not a milk lover and full-fat milk always made me sick at my stomach. The old-style skim milk was like milk of magnesia--ugh. The filled milk now sold is quite tasty. I still don't drink it very often, but I use it to make jello instant pudding.

Pros:

Lasts forever in the refrigerator.

When you say non fat milk are you talking about powdered milk? I was the last of five children and can remember my Mother buying Carnation no fat milk in a box.

Pros:

It worked for us as a family tryin to make ends meet.

Cons:

Can't stand the thought of trying it again

Can't quite bring ourselves to drink this. We have come a long way from whole milk down to 1%. Maybe one day we will go all the way!

Pros:

Less fat

Cons:

Too watery and tastes nothing like we think milk should taste. Comes from drinking only whole milk while growing up.
