Add your reviewI love Dreamfields…I've introduced everyone I know to it…no one can tell its a healthy alternative because it tastes so good!
This is my favorite brand and Ive used it since it was first introduced.
love this product. tastes great and not sugar spike later. I didnt remember the part about cooking too long loosing the affect of carb protection but will be sure to remember that. If u havent checked out the website do. Great recipes and a coupon for $1 off. For anyone who is thinking of trying for first time. They also show where you can buy in your area.
some days my sugar spike after eating this and some days not. I try to limit pasta any way but when I do feel the need I use these. I don't find any odd taste or chewiness to them. I also can't get them where I live so I pick them up when I am near a location …keeps me from using them too much as well.
You have to check your blood sugar levels after consuming as some people will digest the carbohydrates rather than pass them. It's delicious and very decieving for children. So you can feed them the same thing. I use in pasta salad and in hot preparations. If you can find the Lasagna —- it's amazing! Just be sure to serve cook al dente as it's not so good overcooked.
This is a good pasta, as long as you don't over cook it. It does not raise my blood sugar levels.
PROs
Blood sugar levels don't go up
Taste similar to regular pasta
CONS
Price is high
Harder to find than whole wheat pasta
Can eat as much as a cup and a half..in my case..no rise in blood sugar…I am a type 2
diabetic on actos..box says 41g carbs…but only 5g affect blood sugar…
ConsOnly have to be careful what you put on it as far as more carbohydrates.
Becomes stringy or sticky if it is cooked one second too long. I prefer multi grain pasta.
Very good. I prepared some one night and the family either didnt notice the difference or really liked it because there was no left overs.
Its good pasta, but I prefer whole wheat. I have
Prosbeen eating that for years.
Good fiber content, but chewy unless you overcook it.
ConsPrice is higher than whole wheat pasta.
great tasting pasta.and its not brown.
Consnone
a food you can eat to give you more variety in your menu.
ConsI cant really think of any cons.I just think its a good product
This pasta is not exactly like "real" pasta. My husband will not eat it because it is chewy. But if you cook it til soft, it defeats the purpose of buying it.
ProsGood alternative as long as you stick to the one portion size serving.
Consa bit chewy and definitely more costly
I recently tried this and was happy with the result.
ProsTasted just like regular pasta
ConsPRICE cost twice as much as regular pasta!
Great tasting and lots of fiber. I can somewhat be comfortable eating this.
Prosgood tasting. High in fiber
Consdon't overcook or it will not be low carb anymore. Tried it once, but it spiked my BG after many hours. (I woke up with a 142 BG) I will be trying this again though because I love pasta, and I think this product is good.
I received a free sample of this and tried it for the first time this week. The taste is the same but the consistency is a bit diferent.
ProsTaste good.
ConsThe noodles are a bit chewy.
I am a pasta fanatic!! I have heard of this prodic but as of yet have not tried it. You review and the associated comments has moved me to buy some today I will let you know what I Think.
ProsWill let you know.
ConsSame as above.
I have used this product several times and I enjoyed a lot!!
Proslow carbs
I recently made a batch of pasta, mixed in some olive oil, salt and pepper, and diced some baked chicken pieces into it, and served it on a bed of lettuce. It makes a great cold or hot salad…yum
I tried this several times and it was fine. The noodles seemed a bit "chewier" than regular pasta, but there was no taste difference. My husband didn't care for it but that's just because it was different!
Proshas the same taste as regular pasta
Consslightly chewier consistency
