I know not dibetic medication but for mental health which in turn affects your diabieties. Anyhow, was wondering what others thought of this for Bipolar depression. I am new to it and so far may see a slight change but I dunno for sure.

Add your reviewI'm bipolar and a diabetic. When they put me on topomax, I got mean and tried to hurt the people closest to me.(seriously) report any changes in your mood!
causes me to get kidney stones.
Was in weight loss clinic and this was in the medication of a double blind study.
Fourth day taking the medication I passed out while driving and totaled my truck.
I recommend if you take this medication look close at the side effects
I was prescribed Topmax in addition to my Requip for Neuropthy I experience in my legs in the evenings. While I expereince Restless Less Syndrome, Its the hot burning poker sensations in my calves and the cramping that can give me fits when it starts.
ProsIt has helped with the neuropathy.
ConsAs far as forgetfulness, I can't remember. :) I was that way already.
I took this for prevention of migraines
Prosworked very well. I eventually got off it and have no migraines.
topomax works good for me
This met is mostly for moods. Dr.s prescribe it at times for people to help with depression, mood swings, bipolor disorder, some personality disorders, and of the like.
ProsHelps with moods and depression.
ConsCauses thirstyness, and urnination more. MUST be taken with lots of water. And causes some forgetfulness.
Does have a tendency to help people loose weight.
ConsMay make you sleepy
