Prozac (fluoxetine hydrochloride)

this is an anti-depressant used to help people who are depressed or have anxiety.

	joni55 March 17 at 8:49 pm I was on a number of meds and unfortunately, this did not work for me. I was still depressed and suicidal. Don't give up though, keep trying meds until you find the one that is right for you. Cons Not the answer for me.

	Dottie 471 September 10 at 7:14 pm My Rating It worked for me for several years, but then my Oncologist took me off of it because it interfered with the Tamoxifen I was taking for Breast Cancer. I had not read that in any of the literature. She said there were only a few SSI antidepressants that were safe with Tamoxifen.
	KingsLady September 10 at 3:11 pm My Rating It worked for me for about 9 yrs. and then I started having depression again and the Dr. said that in some people it will stop being of help and there will need to be a change. Pros I loved it and felt quite good for quite a while. Too bad it didn't last.
