I love almonds and almost any nuts but Cashews. I put them in my salad, ice cream, or just eat them as a snack on the run.

Pros

I keep them in work and they are easy and convenient. Taste good chocolate covered too! LOL

Cons

Can be a problem if you have any kind of stomach or digestive problem.

I love almonds as much as walnuts and theya re good for the same reasons. They can be used in all the same way, snacks, baking, oatmeal, with vegetables such as green beans and broccoli. I love them in broccoli salad and tossed salads. I also love them in all cereals.

Pros

Very healthy nut with lots of omega 3s.

Cons

Again, we must watch our portions as diabetics.

Great addition to eating plan.

Pros

I think they are a great snack for on the go or right before dinner to help minimize what you eat.

Cons

Can be expensive if you don't look for the bulk bargain.

Love them! I try to get the raw unsalted kind when I can [usually at trader joe's]

Pros

I understand that they have the trace element Chromium, which is good for fighting diabetes

Cons

I dare not eat too many because they contain high levels of potassium, not good for my weakewned kidneys.

I eat 4-5 natural almonds a day, chewing well. They are the only nut that creates alkalinity in the body. Some believe the beginning of everything wrong with the body starts with acid conditions.
