Truvia is made w/ Stevia leaves and Erythritol (a natural sweetner made from corn). You have to be careful as this can raise your BGL. If it's safe for you, it's the best sweetener out there for diabetics. As another reviewer mentioned it's great for cinnamon toast (as it has a crunch — like sugar).

This comes in bulk now (I think a 9 oz bag). 1/3 CUP plus two tablespoons equal one cup of sugar. 24 packets equal one cup of sugar. So you can replace this in recipes. I have used it in muffins and baking. NO browning affect, but otherwise it's spot on in taste and flavour.

Enjoy!

I recently tried this for the first time.

Pros

It had a clean flavor without any after taste
and its nature.

Great with cinnamon and toast. Was using splenda, but this is better . I'll have to try it on some cereal. haven't used sugar or sweetners on that for years.

Pros

Tastes great

Cons

only comes in individual packets

After learning about how some other artificial sweeteners are excitotoxins, this is a safe alternative. But it is really expensive. I would just like to see the price come down soon!

Taste good. I like it better than all the other substitute sweeteners I have tried. It has only three ingredients all naturally occurring.

Pros

Works well with some baked goods where sugar only lends its sweetening properties.

Cons

Cost a little more than other sweeteners.

I prefer the stevia over the equal or sweet n low. I did research and found that sweet n low and equal substitutes have many side affects. after doing research on line of the side affect I realised most of my problems were from the sugar substitute.

Pros

all natural, does smae type of sweetneing affect to food, no after taste, healtier than sweet n low or equal. does not cause cancer, been around long time, but sugar substitutes fought it being allowed to be called a sweetener. so much healthier, does not cause cancer

Cons

at first takes some getting use too, tastes little different, cost little higher than other replacement sugars,

Pros

Cost a little more than most but worth it.

I will just stick to equal. I had my sample packs of stevia. I was not impressed.

Pros

It is ok if you like it.

Cons

I prefer the taste of equal.

Tastes great, doesn't have the bite that sucralose and aspartame do in my opinion.

Pros

Works in coffee, tea, yogurt and more. I've successfully subbed truvia in recipes that call for splenda or equal.

Cons

Hard to locate and not available in bulk amounts yet (supposed to be available in larger quantities by Autumn)

First time that I tried it, I liked it. Several months ago, I even sent for a sample of it used in soft drinks. You cannot tell the difference from the sugared ones.

Pros

All natural with no after taste.

Cons

none so far

This is great! It actually LOOKS like sugar, with crystals and everything. It disolves like sugar too and I don't get any after taste from it. The true test will be when I try it in my husband's tea one day without telling him.

Pros

Less expensive than Sweet Leaf. Disolves and looks more like sugar
No calories, no carbs, no guilt

Cons

None that I have found so far.
