Helps with fast or irregular heartbeats. I have a really fast pulse and sometimes feels like it flutters. This medicine helps with that. I take 50m.g. in the morning and of the night.

I am also on lisinopril for b.p. Is metoprolol only for heartbeat problems? I was in the hospital this summer for 10 days of he.l I had a constant panic attack. My heartbeat was tacky or tackacardia. It was unreal how fast it was. I was so stressed out it was unreal! now I am going to buy a bp machine for home.

I was on 200mg per day when lived and worked in District of Colombia. Here in Florida I am taking 100mg once a day and have a steady decrease in BP. Doctor is pleased with results

First the doctor reduced the amount then had to take me off of it totally. Because my BP was normally low to begin with and this made it worse. And I was only taking it once a day. Cons Lowered my BP too much. Made me very dizzy too.

It has been high for 5 years and now finally something works!!! I take 2 times a day. Pros No side effects and comes in generic and costs only $4.00.

I take it because of high blood pressure. It is generic for Toporal. Pros Keeps my blood pressure down. Cons You have to stop taking it when you do a stress test or have some medical tests.
