It did keep my BP down but while on it I was diagnosed with asthma. After hacking and coughing for 2 years I did some research and one of the frequent side effects listed ONLY in european medical literature was the coughing. Fought with my doc switched to new med...no more coughing.

Take lisinopril along with Diovan to try keeping bp. down works most of the time.

I have been taking lisinopril for several years and it has kept my blood pressure under control. Lately though when checked it is high so doc says probably will increase dosage.

This has worked well for me. It has helped keep my blood pressure at a steady workable level. Before I was going way up and way down. Doctors were concerned. Has been very efffective.

I've taken one form or another of the ACE inhibitors since they came on the market 30 years ago. I had an awful time finding a BP med that worked and that I could tolerate. The first ones gave me a dry cough, but lisinopril doesn't. I now take it for kidney protection with a diuretic for blood pressure and atenolol for heart.

Does double duty by lowering blood pressure and protecting the kidneys from long-term damage.

Causes dry cough in some. Lisinopril is a generic form of the ACE inhibitors and is quite inexpensive.

I have been on this for at least 4 years and it does work for me.

I think my dosage will have to be increased but it works well for me. I am really on it to help with protecting my liver.
