Add your reviewI use one. I notice when i use it either at the gym or at home that it helps lower my BS which means i need to take less insulin.
ProsLowers your BS and less medication needs to be taken
Consgetting motivated is always the hardest part of getting on the treadmill
Personally I can't afford a treadmill or a gym membership. But that's ok. I have a good dog and a long leash, and we take walks together, and discuss how silly humans are.
ProsEncourages stronger bonds, and keeps us both healthy. Sometimes he even teaches me something!
ConsI'm too slow to chase squirrels with him He thinks I'm a party pooper in that way
Exercising on a treadmill can reduce the strain to the ankles, knees and lower back that would be involved in running on a normal surface
I been thinking about purchasing one for the winter months when I cant walk outdoors, but still want to work out.
Please use with Caution! While using the treadmill at the gym last Thursday my right leg let go and I fell on the treadmill I got a treadmill burn like a rug burn on my leg just below the knee and on my knee.
ProsIt is good with a TV on the travel station where you can walk around the world and keep up a steady pace.
ConsWhen you hit stop it don't stop right away and you could end up hurt real bad.
Helps me keep my BS in normal range! Good cardio exercise, and weight control.
Proseasy to use!
ConsBoring, but a tv might spice things up while using it
I bought a space save treadmill and use it quite often. Especially when it's raining or too cold outside.
ProsLove the fact that I can fold it up so it doesn't take up much space.
ConsIt's not as heavy duty as a regular treadmill. So it's not so great for running on, just walking.
I just started at a Gym last month and one of the machines the trainer has me using is a Treadmill for 10 mins at a session. I work out 3 days a week and start with the Treadmill first.
ProsHelps to lose weight and walking if raining out side can still get in the walk. If they have on the travel channel you can walk with the area being seen makes the time go quicker and you cover more ground.
ConsIf just a wall to look at you go slower and don't get the exercise you really need as much.
I use mine about 3-4 days a week.
ProsGreat for weight loss
ConsTakes to much spsce
I have one that I bought at walmart maybe 4 years ago I need to start using it again . When I did use it I lost lik 30lbs If I had the sattelite box for that room I would watch tv while walking
Prosgreat for weight loss
ConsTakes up alot of room and it gets very boring at times tried with radio would like to try with TV
I bought my treadmill when i found out I had diabetes 3 years ago and it's been a tremendous help to me! I've lost 75 pounds. It's perfect especially in the winter! I did learn, however that i needed to put a TV in front of it, This way im guarented to use it.
I wish I had bought a treadmill instead of an elipical. With back probs. the elipical seems to agrivate my back. Well mayve when I can afford one I will get a treadmill. I used my moms and loved it.
This is my favorite way to exercise becuz the heat in central Florida is awful. Great invention.
Treadmill is my favorite exercise. Where I live the walking area is not much to talk about…too many stray dogs, etc. So I have joined a gymn, just started…but enjoy the treadmill very much. Started out slow, 3.0, for one hour…they have TV's positioned so that while walking you can concentrate on a program..keeps your mind off the "exercise"…lololol Would love to own one, so I could walk whenever I want.
I love it very much. It works wonders.
ProsI love this very much. It works amazing wonders and not much can take the place of it. BUT make sure you have a complete physical, EKG and cariolite stress test if over 30 before engaging in this activity. Otherwise, it's so great. Start SLOW>
ConsIf over 30, or overweight at any age, must get complete physical from Dr. Should get cardiolite stress test, and EKG with physical to be sure. And totally start slow. These aren't really cons, just things that need to be followed.
i use the tred mill at night for 1 half hrs it lowers blood count and is exersise.
Prosit is nice to use when you cant go out in cold and hummid days.
Consyou half to warm up and do streching exersies be for you start.
A treadmill is wonderful, I used one at the gym years ago. would like to have one but no room.
ProsEnergizing
Consstart out slowly or soreness will set in
one of my friends has a treadmill. I was visiting her a few days ago and tried it… cool, wish I had room for one in my tiny appartment, but no way… she knows someone who is giving away a nice one too… bummer huh? lol but I am out walking more… it would be nice to have one for those rainy days…
I used a treadmill for a while but found I really liked my stationary bike better…It's so important to enjoy the activity…In my area there is a lot of second hand stores called PLAY IT AGAIN SPORTS… Lots of in great condition used exercise equipment cheap… I never buy new anymore…
Prosexcellent movement for days stuck in doors…or in areas where uneven ground for walks is not available… If you have exercise equipment shaing with someone who has stuff you don't is a great trade off too…
ConsIn some cases, cost or availability
I have never used one yet though have heard good things.
ProsHelps with the execise.
ConsSore muscles, hard with my neuropathy I am sure
