Since I have been working out at Curves the past since August 21, 2008, I am losing weight, losing inches, and not having to take as much insulin (I am coming down on doses and not using the regular sliding scale as much as I was). My energy level has increased. The exercise program was fitted to my needs and is working.

I work out once a week with a trainer at a gym for 30 min. and at home i walk on a treadmill for about 15min twice a week. I would do more but having a 8 month old makes it hard, but i did notice the days i work out my BS is lower
Pros
Working out helps lower you BS. I notice the days i do weight training it even goes lower.
Cons
You need to be motivated to get up and do it. If you sugars are high you get lazy. This is the time you really need to get up and "GET ER' DONE"

I worked as a personal trainer and aerobics instructor some years ago; I now have a universal gym, weight bench, recumbent bike, cardioglide and free weights in my home. Exercise is great for burning glucose, building muscle and increasing flexibility and endurance.

I have been active all of my life. I had to slow down after a back sergery but I do what I can. After I got married in 2007 I got my wife going to the YMCA with me. She had type2 diaberes. After working out for a year she went to her doctor for a check up and her doctor told her she no longer had to take meds for diabetes. It may not work for everyone ( I am still trying to get off of my meds type 2 also ) but it will help.
Pros
Helps blood sugar, improves circulation, makes you feel better, helps fight off depression, and more.
Cons
Check with your doctor before you begin, do not over do it or it could be bad instead of good for you.
