June 25, 2009 3:00 AM I've taken this for about four years now, last year my doc added Trileptal. Between the two, I seldom have any problems with neuropathy. Works for me! Deb |

June 21, 2009 7:51 AM Hi Everyone, Well I'm back on Gabapentin again. The doctor told me that all I can take for me pain from arthritis, surgeries and of course the Neuropathy. I hope it starts to work soon, the rain just about did in my ability to ignore pain. Pros:It worked for me before and I know it will work for me again. Cons:I have to remember to take it at the same time everytime day for it to work for me. Once it gets back into my system and builds up,then of course I have to get to the right dose again. |

June 14, 2009 7:40 PM I understand your meaning... I too am wowed by the available information from people who are actually using the meds, and experiencing the results... it sure arms us for our discussions with the doctors... My doctor recently asked me how I knew so much about things pertaining to diabetes, that some of the stuff he had not heard yet... I told him about this site... and he said, that is really wonderful... I'll have to recommend it to others who have diabetes... yeah... awareness grows... |

June 14, 2009 7:07 PM I have not taken any meds for the pain. I have read almost all the reviews. So far I am able to handle the pain. I admit there are times when it is worse. I have never been offered anything for the pain. I didn't know there was an option. I love coing here you all are teaching me so much. You just don't know how greatful I am for all of you. Thank you just doesn't seem to be the right word I am feeling. It is however the only word I know at this time. So THANK YOU ALL Pros:Have not taken. Do not know Cons:Have not taken do not know |

June 14, 2009 3:31 PM I used it for a year or two but didnt find that it made any difference. In the last year I have been using Lyrica and that seems to really do the trick for me. |

June 13, 2009 9:52 PM I take 900 megs/day along with Cymbalta. The Gab stops the "needles" and the Cymbalta stops the stabbing pain. Pros:This combo works for me. Been on them for 4 years. Cons:None for me. |
