My doctor wanted me to up my dose to 600mg from 300mg. I took the 600mg the next day I was so groggy the entire day. It does help with the pain , but I have to take care of my family, work, and school. So I only take 300mg because I don't have time to be sleepy.

Pros:

It really does help with the pain.

Cons:

The meds make me feel sleepy all day.

It works very well for me but remember to take exactly like prescribed. I can definitely tell if I foget to take it. I take gabapentin 3 times daily 2 tablets at a time 600mg each. I know this is a lot but I can not do without it.

Mr. bluepappasmurf On 4th july has written a name of drug "metanx",which he is taking along with Gaba, what is its correct spelling and what is its ingredients. Please let me know. Gaba & Lyrica reducuing my pain but not repairing the damaged muscles. But Mr. bluepappasmurf says other medicine is repairing the damaged nervous. I am also having sever arthritis of knees

I have taken it for 2 years now, started with my legs getting neuropathy and now it is in my feet and it has helped tremendously. It is the generic form of Lyrica. If you don't start out with a smaller mg form it will tend to make you dizzy.

Pros:

Works wonderfully on the pain

Cons:

Needs dosage increases

They placed me on it for my neuropathy in my feet and it was wonderful It even helps my back pain Which I do take pain meds for. I actually have to admit i feel rather well when I am taking it. I do believe I need a dose increase i take 300 3 times a day and it is not doing as it once did.

Pros:

Works great for not only my foot issues but my back and my mood

Cons:

have not seen any yet except that possibly you get used to and need dose increase a little often That may be because I have a liover disease though

This medication has saved me. I don't have diabetic neuropathy but I suffered for many years with non specific shoulder, arm and back pain. It appears to be a form of Fibromyalgia. I have taken many of medications including opiates. This medication has been the only treatment to remove my pain. I am also a Director of Nursing in Long Term Care Facility and have seen many geriatric patients find the same relief I have.

Pros:

Provides relief within a short period of time. Has very little side effects. No deminished mental status. Does not need to build up in your system to have full effect.

Cons:

Capsules are on the large size.
