Category: Oral Prescription This is for diabetic neuropothy. has any one had any experience with this? I was looking for the good,bad or ugly about this medication. |

February 24, 2009 8:24 AM I have been taking Gabapentin 800mg 3 times a day for about 2yrs for my neuropathy and I still have the numbness and pain in feet and legs. I've also tried lyrica for the neuropathy but that didn't work either! |

February 16, 2009 8:07 AM As long as I took it on time and all my doses I was fine. Pros:It helped me through some difficult times. I don't have to take it anymore because I'm not in that much pain now. That I'm very thankful for. Cons:If you don't take it the same time everyday it will not work for you the way it can. |

January 9, 2009 5:06 AM I was on it for about a year then I took myself slowly off of it because I do not seem to have much pain anymore. Cons:I don't think it worked that well for me. |

December 13, 2008 4:19 AM I had neuropathy about 5 years before diagnosed with diabetes. My doctor has me on 300 mg/night. Gabapentin appears to help solely because if I miss a night the next day my feet really hurt and more so that evening. Only way to aleviate the pain is to keep moving, but sometimes exhaustion overcomes and I have to rest/sleep. Pros:Helps my neuropathy. Cons:Dizzy spells more often with two other prescriptions doctor insists on, all of which make rapid body movements subject to light headedness/dizziness. OK without rising, jogging, jumping, etc. |
