Me too- walikng can improve your life in so many ways, both on the physical and emotional level. Whenever I get the oppotunity, I try to walk by myself or for safety reasons with a close friend!
I love to walk, walking is something that helps me feel better and takes away my stress, so if anyone has a lot of stress in their life. I would recommend walking. I would like to get back to walking 6 to 12 miles in one day soon, my Plantar Faciisits in my right foot at times, puts me at a disadvantage. But I am beiliving God for complte healing, and if anyone has any suggesstions for natural recomadations or ways to avoid surgery. i would greatly appericate it. Thank you. God Bless you all.
My favorite exercise…walking 5-6 miles per day for a year now. It has given me strength, endurance, sleep better, handling stress better, overall great feeling of health and lost 70 lbs while doing it. And it did not cost me a penny, just my time.
This is my favorite exercise! I do it at least 30 mims. a day most days. It keeps my weight where I want it to be. I love it! This is the only exercise I do on a very regular basis.
I think that walking is the best form of exercise that anyone can do.
Pros
It is fun,relaxing,helps with your joints and your posture in my opinion and is great to do with someone that you care about.
Cons
The only con is that you have to do a maximum of at least 45 to 60 minutes to have the full effect but in my personal opinion the pros always outweigh the cons.
I need to add something. I do not like to be negative about walking. It does help me. I go to the pool and walk in the water sometimes. This is safer than walking down the street for me. The pool is not too close so I have to plan my pool walking events.
I love to walk. However, my legs give out on me half way around the block and my right knee especially buckles on me. This makes me afraid to walk too much because I have had to sit by the side of the road then get up to get back home. I usually am alone so I hesitate to walk much anymore because I am unsure of my legs.

i powerwalk 4x a week. It helps so much. I can't say enough in favor for it. The best time is when you power walk in the snow and it clears your head and the cold makes you feel alive…Its Fabulous.

I totalled my car awhile ago and my legs have come in handy. I walk 7 miles+. I actually prefer walking now.
ProsIt gets you from point A to point B. If you walk faster it's good cardio, even if you don't every step counts. You get to enjoy the fresh air.
