September 12, 2009 1:36 PM Was put on this medication with glyburide, my numbers never did become normal Pros:none Cons:digestive issues, horrible pain and my doctor told my I didn't know what I was talking about, that this medication never does that. |

September 11, 2009 3:01 AM I was just recently put on Metformin 500 mg twice a day and I have had horrible stomach pains and nausea. I'm constantly in the bathroom with diarrhea and it's only brought my blood sugar levels down a little bit. Pros:Not really any. Cons:Horrible stomach pains,diarrhea, nausea |

September 9, 2009 9:51 PM It worked for me, but still had to watch the diet, and exercise. However, I had heard that it was hard on kidneys--and I have developed cancer on my kidney, have also been on high blood pressure meds for several years, also hard on the kidneys, no family history of kidney cancer---Could it be part of my cancer history?? Just wondering---PR Pros:intestinal system was out of whack onyway, all of my life, so can't say about diarrhea---but have been so constipated while taking it--who knows for sure?? Cons:I did not notice any curbing of appetite or weight loss, had to loose by cutting back and watching the carbs. PR |
