October 9, 2009 5:28 PM I was orginally on metformin now the doctor has me on Janumet, wich has metformin in it. It has helped me get my A1C down 9 points. Pros:Janumet with the metformin has helped me. Cons:Metformin by itself did not work as well for me. |

October 9, 2009 1:13 PM My 13 year old daughter was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes 8/18/09 and she has been on Metformin taken ince a day at first now she has lost 6 pounds so far. Now she takes 2 pills with dinner and she has not complained about any side effects yet. I will keep you all updated. Pros:She is losing weight Cons:None Yet |

October 9, 2009 10:58 AM Have used this drug twice a day for almost a year. Has always lowered my BG but recently have noticed that early morning readings are slowing rising. Pros:It works and have lost 16 pounds. I have not experienced any gastro upsets except within 30-60 after taking drug, I know I have to use the bathroom. Because I time everything, this has not been a problem. Cons:None! |
