Cons:

I often get a lump or rash at the injection site with this product. I use the same type of needles as with my Novolog so I know it's probably not that. My numbers haven't come down with this, often I feel like just using the rapid acting insulin soley.

I've used Lantus for about 18 months with good results. I've had to increase the dossage to 50 units recently but change the dose to 40 if my BG is reasonable at bed time. I was using the Opticlick until Medicare stopped supporting it.

Pros:

Effective control of BG with no weight gain and no injection site problems unless I go too deep and inject the muscle (don't do that!!).

Cons:

Doing the injection is a bit of a pain and can burn at times.

Have been on it a few years now. I've noticed my blood sugar down a bit since I've been on it.

Pros:

Seems to help regulate blood sugar.

Cons:

I really DON'T want to be poking myself when I'm tired and about to go to bed. Wish I could take it another time of day.

ANOTHER shot! *sighs*

Has helped me control my blood sugar better than some of the other long acting insulins.

Pros:

Works well, no large dips.

Cons:

I have to take it every 12 hours, for me it slacks off at about 20 hrs, so I take it twice a day.
