September 1, 2009 4:23 AM I have tried a few meters and the Accu check compact is by far the best for me.I have a newer digital one and it lets me know How many I have left when the strips get low. I also love having the lancing device attached. It does come of but because I tend to loose them I leave it on the meter. Pros:Small amount of blood. Quick reading. attached lancet device. Great,Great,Great!!! Cons:None for me |

August 23, 2009 5:26 AM I've used this meter for 2-3 years and am very pleased. It is one of two that Medicare covers. Pros:No need to load strips nor to code a new batch. Cons:Never know when I am using the last strip. |

August 16, 2009 5:34 AM This is the best meter I have ever tried. Pros:No worrying about carrying around test strips, putting them in the machine. Just a push of a button and you are ready to go. Cons:Don't always know before the test strips run out. |

August 17, 2008 12:34 AM Another of my favorites. My #2 meter actually tied for #2 with my Ascencia contour. I love the drum, self coding, but it reads 20 points or so lower than my Aviva and I THINK(not positive) it's supposed to have plasma referenced results. My other meter the Aviva is not off, I have 3 of em and they all read within single digits of each other if i use the same blood sample. squeeeeeze...squeeze...squeeze....well not that hard more like pump.pump.pump Pros:the one with the drum...17 strips. same cost as the aviva strips if have to buy OOP which i always do since I test 8-10x a day. HI-tech looking with the softclix attached and the yellow lit up numbers. Found it at walmart for 17 bucks...bought 2 for my collection. Consistent readings. Cons:i dunno |
