November 8, 2009 4:55 PM Used this meter perhaps the 1st 3 months of diagnosis then switch to Accu Chek Aviva. Cons:Sometimes have problems loading the lancet wheel correctly, thus losing some of the lancets. This meter requires a larger deposit of blood. And.. although not of great importance, it takes longer to provide results. |

March 14, 2008 8:27 AM Pros: The 10 strip "wheel" is good. No coding is a great feature - on other meters I have sometimes forgotten to code. It has the on/off button easily available and other buttons hidden but easy to access. These meters seem to be accurate with each other - I have three of them and when doing a test on all three at the same time tests have been close. Bayer customer service is good. You can press the on button to see how many strips are left. Cons:If you open the back before you finish a wheel, the meter loses count of the strips. The meter is slightly larger than most other meters. The case that comes with the meter is a little awkward. I don't like the Mircolet lancet that comes with the meter. |
