Add your reviewI much prefer the pen to the vial and syringe method; easier, less time-consuming and no refrigeration required!
I like the pens, my doctor gives me some every now and them. It's alot easier than carrying a vial and syringes.
ProsIf you drop them they dont break like regular vials!
I love these pens I am up there in age and it make s it easier for me to messure my insulin
I have used them for about a year now and I love them, I have nerve damage in my hands from a heart surgery and I am not able to draw the insulin with a syring, so they are perfect.
Proseasy to take from place to place and not some many questions when other see them.
This is all my daughter Shana has ever used. Loves those pins.
ProsJust grab them and go anywhere, inside the small cooler, of course.
Consnone.
I too have Parkinson's as well as type 1 diabetes. I use these all of the time and they are great. Much easier than fumbling around with a needle and syringe witha shakey hand.
ProsThey are great
ConsNone

this worked very well for my husband it is very expensive but worth it since it does control diabeties very well
ProsI would recommend to any one with diabeties
Consexpensive
I am on the pens. Love it.
ProsEasy and not guessing reqired. Great for the older generation with the shaking of hands. I also thing good for the children knowing they could give theirself an injection and you don't have to worry about them giving to much.
ConsExpensive
my son is on the pens and it has made it so much easier for all of us.they are great.
i am on the humalog 75/25 mix and it does work for me
Both work great for me!
ProsThe pens are easy to use, and less likely to stick yourself or others. Easier to dispose of then a regular syringe
ConsI do have two problems I have however;
1. If I'm not careful I get them mixed up with my son's growth hormone pen. It only happened once when I was very tired and his bed room was dark. At the last second as I dialed the pen I reconized the difference.
2. The Humolog pen can be difficult to read the number on, so I have to count the number of clicks.
I went from 70/30 Novolin to the 1x 24 hour Lantus Pen ~ 20 units at bedtime and my life has been turned around for the better. I love not having to keep to a schedule of getting up before breakfast, lunch and dinner and measuring out the vial and the syringe… the Lantus Pen is so ideal and easy. I turn the knob to 20, inject it in my belly and it doesn't even hurt like the syringe did.
ProsMy insurance company pays the hefty bill and I only have to pay the $25 copay.
ConsThe only con is… I was tortured for 4 months taking the 70/30 Novolin and was just put on the Lantus on August 28, 2008. Wish I was on this sooner :)
love them
Proseasy and faster than shots in a bottle
Consnone really
i use the pens and they work for me
I love the pens
Prosquick and easy
The humalog pen is great, the needles are so fine you don't know your giving youself a shot
Prosthe advantage of injecting yourself in the stomach, arm, leg
Conspackageing,5 to a box, expire in one month,I usually waste 1&1~2 Monthly
I love them!
ProsEasy to carry in my purse.
ConsYou have to remember to check that you don't run out because any unused pens have to stay refrigerated.
