People with type 2 diabetes who are taking the blood-sugar-lowering drug Byetta may be at increased risk for kidney problems, including kidney failure, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration reported this week.

November 7, 2009 10:28 AM I've been taking Byetta now for about 6 months. Getting sick has been a regular thing with this injection. But instead of it getting better, it's gotten worse. After I hard the warning I discontinued taking the injection. I've been feeling much better since then. |

November 6, 2009 10:23 PM After reading the article, it sounds like for me, personally, Byetta would not be good for me, having been on Dialysis and then come off, but with lowered kidney function. I had been considering asking my Drs about Byetta, but no longer. |
