Though someone is diagnosed with diabetes every 20 seconds, many Americans lack basic knowledge about the potentially life-threatening disease, according to a new survey from the American Diabetes Association.

November 3, 2009 1:34 AM I think people have to take it seriously and want to help themselves out. If someone told us the only way we could breath is to exercise. Everybody would be doing it because we had to. But just to say eat a good diet meal through the day, and exercise, some people just don't care until they hit rock bottom. And by then it just might be to late to make a change. So I think everyone should be made aware of diabetes just in case it touches their family. |
