People who suffer from neuropathic pain due to diabetic polyneuropathy or shingles get better relief and improved sleep by taking an antidepressant and anti-seizure medication together, researchers say. In the study, patients who took the antidepressant Neurotin and the anticonvulsant Pamelor together showed less pain and better sleep than patients who took either drug alone.
