A study of nurses has found that those who sleep the most are thinner than those who get less shut-eye. Researchers say that lack of sleep affects hormones that are linked to metabolism and hunger. The study found that those who were short sleepers had a body mass index that was almost 4 points higher than those who were long sleepers. Previous research has also suggested that those who get less than seven hours of sleep per night are up to 75 percent more likely to be overweight or obese than those who get more sleep
