Simply Raw: Reversing Diabetes in 30 Days is an independent documentary film that chronicles six Americans with diabetes who switch to a diet consisting entirely of vegan, organic, uncooked food in order to reverse disease without pharmaceutical medication. The six are challenged to give up meat, dairy, sugar, alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, soda, junk food, fast food, processed food, packaged food, and even cooked food for 30 days.

This was an interesting concept. Recently, I have read other articles concerning a "raw" food diet and the positive effects it has on diabetes. I'm sure many people can try this, but I am not one of them. lol There are very few things I like raw. Being from the South, I am used to most of my vegetables being way overcooked compared to cooking in other parts of the Country. It will be interesting to keep up with this subject and see how it competes with other diets after new studies.

Everything you say is true, however, some people actually DO test 10 times a day.But even though they were 'actors', the message was still on track I thought.

hi, i am new to this forum and may be out of line but after reading the letter from susan in australia i was taken back. if a person is taking her blood sugar 10 times a day she is not learning to live with diabetes she is letting diabetes take over her life. as for the others, come on they are actors & infomercial docs being paid large amounts of money to endorse a product. i just don't buy it. this is not a well rounded diabetic diet.
