Diabetes is a serious chronic disease that can be managed through lifestyle changes and medication. Nearly 24 million Americans have diabetes, and at least 57 million people age 20 or older have pre-diabetes.
Tuesday, March 24, is American Diabetes Alert Day®. This day is devoted to informing the public about the seriousness of diabetes, particularly when the disease is left undiagnosed or untreated.

Add your commentLet me step back from my excitement of my discovery of this event to give a 'oops' on the date issue. I got ahead of myself on this one. I am also pretty sure that I did not know about it because of the period that my Wife chose not to be aggressive and proactive about her T1. So we chose not to be aware, and that is never a good thing.
And I forgot to add that even though this event has passed for this calendar year, let us work together to ensure this date is so rightfully explored.
