November is NATIONAL DIABETES AWARENESS MONTH! To celebrate this important month, DiabetesSisters FIRST Quarterly Gathering has been scheduled for Saturday, November 14, 2009-- on World Diabetes Day!
Come on out and
-talk with other women who are living with diabetes
-make new friends
-learn more about living a happy, healthy life with diabetes
-and just have FUN!
A private room has been reserved for you to talk freely about your experiences and build intimacy among the group!
SPEAKER: Laura Ely, DiabetesSisters Communications Coordinator and member of Team Type 1 Triathlon Team. Laura will share her story of overcoming adversity to reach new heights.
**In recognition of World Diabetes Day, we will be joining the world to test our blood sugar level at 2pm (during lunch!)
COST: Your Lunch (Private room reservation fee has been taken care of) Please bring $20 cash if you plan to eat lunch to cover the cost of your meal. The restaurant has prepared a set menu at a set cost of $15 + tax= $19.54. The restaurant cannot provide separate bills, so DS will pay the bill with cash collected from attendees.
**Don't worry, if you don't eat seafood the restaurant carries other lunch options such as salads, club sandwiches, and pastas.)
