I read a study today that not only is walking good for the diabetic patient but they did a study say that it helps lower uour chances of Alhiemiers, It said that people who walked at least three days a week, about 1 mile a day, had a 30 percent lower rate than those that don't and that you retainened more for at least a year after you stopped.

Yeah!! that is good news, because I know I am loosing my mind already, now maybe I can keep what I have left. I think it is also good for your soul as you walk, you have quite time to think, pray, sing, or just make up stories in your head. I find it relaxing as long as I don't let the negative nancies get in.

I agree Gabby. I use this time for me and God to think things through and to listen to what the voice of the Lord has to say. As I walked today I found that there was purpose to the time that's being spent with Him and I allow nothing to get in the way of that.

    Walking is my favorite exwecise.

I always did at least three miles a day before the foot trouble and I felt so energized. I am not going to rest until I can do it again, with Gods help.

This is good to know and I love to walk for my excercise. I usually walk 30 minutes twice a day for my exercise run which I have decided to increase up to 60 minutes twice a day.
