I am trying to find the least inexpensive place to purchase One touch Ulta test strips? Since my insurance plan does not cover my cost, I am trying to find a consistant place to purchase strips. I have looked at stores ( Walmart, etc) and the internet. Cost per strip is anywhere from $1.09 to $.66. Can you share your favorite place and price?

hi, if you switch to the free style strips, free style provides a discount card, where the strips only cost approx 10-15 dollars for 100 of them. go to www.freestyle.com for info.

The website is www.abbottdiabetescare.com and the price you pay will be down to your insurance and/or how many strips you get. Unless the program changed the card gives you up to $50 a month towards the cost of the strips. If you self finance and test a lot then the cost will be hugely more than $15. If your co-pay is $25 then your strips will be free. You will save money regardless but potentially you could still end up paying a lot.

There is another lower cost option for test strips…if you have insurance, you pay only $15 for test strips using hte https://www.accu-chekconnect.com/connect/ >>same as the one from abbott (freestyle meters), but for accu-chek aviva meter.

You could switch to a different meter like the EasyPro at Target or Relion at Wal-Mart. The strips for those run about $25 for 50 and the meter less than $10.
Also, what state are you in? Most states have a legal requirement that test strips must be covered by insurance.

my Dr wants me to use the Accucheck so he can load down my numbers into his computer.
I live in Texas and the insurance companies can do pretty much want they want in this state. But good to know that some states make it a legal requirement -

Actually, you may be doing your state an injustice. It looks like there is legislation on the books to mandate coverage of testing supplies.

I get my strips on E-Bay, I don't have insurance. The bidding process is somewhat of a bother, but well worth it, I get my strips (True Track) for about .25 cents

.25 is a great price, I guess I will have to go through the bidding process on ebay.
Thanks -

Walmart has some of the best prices that I know.
If you want to order online check with Dlife.com. They offer
some test strips , but not sure of prices or brands.
If you explain you need to your Dr. He might be able to write
a letter on your behave to the maker of your meter. These
companies often have programs to help people who are out
of work or under insured. -
