I was wondering about all the hype being talked about with the Acai Berry stuff. I know Acai Berry is good for you. But is this good for us with Diabetes and suppose to help is too? I have type 2. And there is the Acai Berry juices, vitamins, diets, etc.. Everything Acai it seems is being promoted everywhere you look. Then in some of the ads it's saying you have to make sure it's ONLY 100% acai and not mixed with anything else. While I have bought some Acai berry juice at Walmart and and at 7 bucks thought that was expensive enough, it is mixed with other juices and some sugers are added I am sure. But some ads say true Acai nothing is added, no sugers, no other juices, and it must ONLY be from Amazon, and packaged and processed there too and then the ads say you can ONLY order it from this certain ad. I was wondering if someone can shed some light on this subject. Thanks.

That juice is pure sugar and water. Don't waste your money . That stuff will kill you.

Two years ago I was in the Amazon visiting my son. My first meal was introduced to Acai. In its natural form it is one nasty tasting purple colored stuff. Might be good for you, but the taste is terrible, it is like eating grape nuts too. Then my son poured a glass of the stuff and I watched in horror as he added one tablespoon after another of sugar to make it taste good. The commercial stuff here in the States is nothing like the original. I tried it here and FOR ME it is a waste of money.

You hit the nail on the head. Acai is a very volatile berry and it does not travel and loses a lot within hours of being picked. If you are in the Amazon and eat it from the tree there is some good things about it. If you buy it here then you are getting a very different product that is really not much more than an expensive juice.
